Blog etiquette? I'm sure I am lacking in that department. BIG TIME!

I recently read a few posts about responding to comments posted on ones blog.

I'm guessing that it is proper to respond. Well, here I am. I'm responding to all of you who have ever commented here. Thank You. I'm serious. I really mean it. I'm an ass sometimes. I admit it. Thank you.

I just didn't know what to say. Um, thanks for stopping by, and thanks for commenting. Hell, sometimes I actually forget that I have a blog. I post random crap. Stuff that my brain has to expel at certain times.

I really didn't mean to be rude. Honestly, true story. I love your comments. I promise to give them their due, in the future. That is, when I get them. OK?

Don't be mad. Hey, my response is usually to go right over to your site, read for hours on end, and then leave my mark.

Are we good now? Sheesh! I hope so.

THINKING OUT LOUD

Seriously, if I watch one more olympic event, just shoot me already. Really, just put me right the hell out of my misery.

I stay up way too late. I actually find myself screaming and cheering right here, from the edge of my couch. WTF....am I serious? I have to get up at the asscrack of dawn. I'm only getting about 5 hours of sleep, if I'm lucky.  I need some help.

While on the subject of the olympics I'm thinking of adding a few of my own. How about stair climbing? I think I could top anyone. I must go up and down the stairs in my house at least 90 gazillion times a day. I also have three floors to go up and down.I could easily medal in that feat.

How about number of times running to the store. You would think what with the price of gas and all that I would be just a tad more efficient. Not so much! Yep, I could medal there too.

Laundry? Don't even go there. Does at least 5 loads a day, with no babies attached count? Yep, that medal has my name on it as well.

Oh really, don't get me started. I could go on and on. I would be tired getting up and down off the podium. Not to mention the uhaul I would need to help me home with all my hardware.

Actually just thinking about it just wore me out!

I think I'll just sit here and finish watching the USA team get ripped off again.

 

PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROW

I love living in the city. I love just about everything that goes along with living in the city. There is however, one thing I hate about living here. That would be people moving. Yes, that truly sucks!

Most of my neighbors own their places of residence. There are two buildings that are rentals. I absolutely hate them. No, seriously, I don't think you heard me......I really do hate them. All the training, the noise factor, the garbage detail, what to put where and how to put said things where. It really is stressful and a lot of trouble.Trust me, unless you have lived the dream, it is a nightmare. All that time and energy and then in a heartbeat, they move. How dare them. How could they possibly want to leave our wonderful neighborhood. The alley parties, the Halloween festivities, and all the Christmas functions, where could they possibly go and have this much fun? Who cares that they are engaged, what do we care that they have a much better place to live?

It matters not that they have been here 3 or more years. They are leaving and when they do, it is always en mass. Yes, they all leave at the same time. It is very sad.

I really do not do change well. It is stressful having to break in all new people! It is even harder learning all new names and faces. Forget about trying to figure out who belongs to what car or girl. Yes, it really is work. And it is hard.

I bond with these people. For however many years they live here, we all become friends. Then they leave. Tears are shed, new addresses are exchanged,  and goodbyes are handed out. It is always a sad, sad, day.

There really should be a law. No one is allowed to move, EVAAAA! 

And yet, somehow life does go on!

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?

I'm serious! What is up with people who feel the need to leave rude and nasty comments to others?

No, it hasn't happened to me yet. First, you have to have lots of readers. Fortunately for myself I have lovelies who visit me, so far. I guess I haven't pissed my 2 or 3 readers off.....yet.

I honestly for the love that is all holy cannot figure out why people would comment in rude fashion. Just move the hell on if you don't like what is being said. GAH! There are 40 gajillion blogs out there. Go and find one that you like. Haters!

Seriously, grow the hell up, seek therapy, or at least start your own "hater" blog and leave people alone. There is enough hate going on all around us. Can't we just agree to disagree? I believe they even have blogs that condemn other bloggers. Go and read them....not sure where they are but, hey, just type I hate people and life in Google and you are off and running. Just kidding, I think! Maybe. Hey, maybe I'll try it when I'm done. Anywho, quit all the hating.

On another note or two, what the hell is up with that Mom in Florida? I cannot even believe that her most beautiful, not to mention cute as all get out little now 3 year old is missing and she is joking about it. What in the world is happening to our society? I swear they should just hang her up by her toenails. I think her name is Cayley or something like that. Hell, I think I've actually blocked it out of my memory. I cannot even imagine my preshus lil' ones not being with me. Not too mention that they are all at one time or another pains in my ass. I would miss them more than you would ever know. I'm not saying that I couldn't have killed them all at some time in their lives, but hey, I would miss the lil' buggers. That and orange doesn't look good on me. Just kidding.

Seriously though, what in the hell was that young woman thinking? Or not, in her case. There are so many people out there that would have taken her in a New York City minute. People that can't have kids. AND, the Grandmother. Sheesh, is she on crack or something. Giving the daughter a whole month to find her. Am I dreaming here? People don't really live this way. Do they? OMFG....if my daughter told me that my granddaughter had been missing for awhile, but, hey just give me awhile and maybe I'll find her.......yeah right! I'm going to let that happen? I'm thinking.....No effing way!

Lastly, the Olympics. Are you into them? Do you care? And really, they are so many hours behind us I feel like I'm in a time warp. I enjoy watching them. I just don't like knowing who won what before I see it. That is thanks to the news people.

THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING

 

Anyone remember the old Chicken Little book? C'mon, I can't be the only old fartolder one in the group. Can I? Sheesh, I hope not.

Anywho, that was the first thing I thought of the other night during those awful storms.

Younger daughter and I were out picking up food for the troops. Hey, I am ugly when I don't eat. Well, I could be ugly anyway, let's say I'm uglier when I am hungry.

We had made our first stop, yes, we all like to complicate things by ordering from different places. I know! What a pain. Where was I? Oh, we were out and about and talking and generally not really paying attention to what was going on around us.  The fact that it was early and all of a sudden pitch black dark out, did not faze us in the least. Nope, not one tiny bit. All of a sudden the sirens started and the wind picked up and we were off to the races.

There may or may not have been some bickering about just going home and screw the second food pick up and yada yada. This would be from the chicken younger daughter who thought perhaps we may get swept away and die.

I was having none of it. I wanted my food dammit! To hell with the sirens and torrential rains and god awful lightening. That and I had an umbrella in the car so it was all good. Until, I almost drowned while running in to get said food. The umbrella did not prove to be very useful in 300 80 mile an hour winds. Minor details.

Honestly, I felt like we were in one of those end of the world movies. The car was rocking, lightening, OMFG, the lightening, it was horrific to say the least!

Anywho, we did make it back, enjoyed our wonderful feast and didn't even lose power. It doesn't get much better than that.

Like a crazy, stressed out old lady who is tired of inconsiderate and stupid ass hat drivers and bikers.

Whew, that was a mouthful, sorry, I was on a roll.

Anywho, I have decided that before I sell my present car, I will go commando on a few of the aforementioned. It might be awhile before that happens but, hey, I like to plan ahead. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction. The whole "payback is a bitch" theme.

One of my shortcomings as a human is that I am a rule monger. If the law says no cell phone talking while driving, I obey. I use speaker phone or a headset. I'm figuring they made the law for a reason. No?

Normally I'm not bothered by ass hats that break the rules. As we all know, my life has been anything but normal lately. Patience for stupidity is not my strong suit at the present time. It helps me cope when I can plan my revenge. I know, I can be a bitch when I have to.

I would love nothing better than to ram the hell politely bump cars that cannot pay attention to turns or lights because they are on the phone. 

I do have my limits on niceness. Is that even a word? Oops.

On a much sweeter note my younguns' have all descended on my house this weekend for a few Cubs games and Lollapalloosa. Um, yes, don't ask. Apparently a gazillion bands gather in one spot and make tons of noise all weekend. For this, young people pay tons of money. Go figure! But, hey, my son is here from Charlotte with the wife and the girls are happy to see the brother, so it's all good.

Well I'm off to entertain the troops for the rest of the weekend. That and to drink lots of wine. Hope all of you out in cyberspace are happy and enjoying your weekend.
